KIWOHEDE Strengthens Youth Economic Empowerment through BLOOM Project Training
KIWOHEDE, in collaboration with World Vision Tanzania under the BLOOM Project, conducted a one-day start-up orientation training for youth group leaders from Temeke and Kinondoni Municipal Councils.
The training aimed to strengthen participants’ group management skills while guiding them through the group registration process. It also focused on enhancing their capacity to engage in savings and lending initiatives as a pathway to economic empowerment. In addition, participants were equipped with knowledge on eligibility criteria for accessing financial support from microfinance institutions, government programs, and other stakeholders.
The session was facilitated by Municipal Community Development Officers from Kinondoni and Temeke, and brought together a project focal person from the Regional Administrative Secretary (RAS) Office, KIWOHEDE project staff, and participating youth group leaders.
This initiative marks an important step in empowering youth with the necessary tools and knowledge to build sustainable and economically viable groups.
