KIWOHEDE (Kiota Women’s Health and Development), in partnership with World Vision Tanzania through the Youth Ready Project (also referred to as AHADI-Youth Ready in some contexts), organized a community campaign called “Mimi ni Kijani – I am Green”.
The campaign focused on:
1. Promoting reforestation
2. Advancing a green economy
It was carried out by the project participants themselves during their graduation phase, right after completing soft skills training.
Location and Participants
Venue: Mtambani Primary School, Bunju Ward, Kinondoni Municipal Council (Dar es Salaam region)
Attendees included:
Youth project participants
KIWOHEDE and World Vision staff
Students and teachers from the school
Representatives from Local Government Authorities (LGAs)
This hands-on activity allowed the graduating youth to apply their newly gained skills in a real community setting, raising awareness about environmental conservation while demonstrating leadership and initiative.
