KIWOHEDE Conducts Six-Day Youth-Friendly Services Training for Health Service Providers

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania | 7th–12th September 2026

KIWOHEDE, in collaboration with Baba Watoto through the AHADI Project, is conducting a six-day training on Youth-Friendly Services (YFS) for Health Service Providers from 15 wards across four municipalities: Ilala, Kinondoni, Temeke, and Ubungo.

The training, taking place from 7th to 12th September 2026 at Manzese Parish, brings together Health Service Providers with the aim of strengthening their knowledge, skills, and capacity to provide quality and responsive health services to young people.

The training focuses on enhancing participants’ understanding of the specific health needs of adolescents and young people, as well as promoting accessible, confidential, respectful, non-discriminatory, and youth-friendly health services.

Through this training, KIWOHEDE and its partners seek to strengthen the capacity of health service providers to create supportive and welcoming environments where young people can confidently access appropriate health information and services.

The initiative contributes to the broader goal of improving access to quality health services for young people and ensuring that their health needs are effectively addressed within their communities.

KIWOHEDE remains committed to empowering young people and strengthening community-based health systems through meaningful partnerships and capacity-building initiatives.
