BLOOM Project Strengthens Gender and Economic Empowerment Communication

World Vision Tanzania, in collaboration with KIWOHEDE and Baba Watoto through the BLOOM Project, conducted a one-day workshop focused on the adaptation and development of Gender and Economic Empowerment Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials.
The workshop was held at Nefaland Hotel, Manzese Argentina, Dar es Salaam, and brought together representatives from Local Government Authorities (LGAs), feminist organizations, project staff, participating youth, and media representatives.
The workshop provided a collaborative platform for participants to review, adapt, and develop relevant communication materials that respond to the experiences and needs of adolescent girls, young women, and youth. The session resulted in the development of key messages designed to promote positive behaviour change, gender equality, women’s rights, and economic empowerment.
Through the BLOOM Project, these efforts contribute to creating an enabling environment where adolescent girls and young women can access opportunities, strengthen their economic participation, challenge harmful gender norms, and actively contribute to positive change within their communities.
