KIWOHEDE, in partnership with World Vision Tanzania through the BLOOM Project, funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), continued with a two-day training on Gender Equality, Women’s Legal and Human Rights, including laws related to property ownership and employment.

The training was held at Ngome Hall, Kinondoni Municipal Council, Dar es Salaam, and brought together key actors working on gender-related issues. Participants included representatives from Local Government Authorities (LGAs), youth and women’s platforms, persons with disabilities, Ward Dispute Resolution Committees, MenCare Champions, religious leaders, community health workers, parents and caregivers, project participants, and project staff from Temeke and Kinondoni Municipal Councils.

The sessions were facilitated by a consultant from TGNP and provided an important platform for increasing awareness of gender equality, promoting positive gender norms, and strengthening the capacity of community members to understand, claim, and advocate for their legal and human rights.
